Delta Heavy Towing was established to fill a gap in Brisbane’s towing market. Most towing companies in Brisbane focus on cars. When a truck operator, bus company, or construction firm needed a heavy tow, the options were limited. We built the business around heavy vehicles from day one: heavy trucks, purpose-built equipment, and operators with the licences and experience to handle large loads safely.
Today we operate from six depots across South East Queensland: Rocklea, Burpengary, Virginia, Ipswich, Gold Coast, and Toowoomba. Our fleet includes heavy duty tow trucks, tilt trays, low loaders, and a rotator recovery unit. We provide heavy towing, heavy haulage, machinery transport, bus towing, prime mover hire, over-dimensional load transport, and heavy vehicle recovery services.

Our Fleet
We run a fleet of purpose-built heavy towing and recovery vehicles. Each truck is configured for a specific type of work.
- Our heavy boom trucks handle the majority of on-road truck towing. They carry underlift attachments rated for the vehicles they tow and are equipped with recovery gear including winches, chains, and airbags.
- Our heavy tilt trays are rated to 25 tonnes. They carry machinery, smaller trucks, buses, and equipment that needs to travel flat rather than on its own wheels.
- Our low loaders transport tracked machinery like excavators, bulldozers, and rollers. The low deck height makes loading safer and keeps overall transport heights manageable.
- Our rotator is the most capable unit in the fleet. It can upright rolled vehicles, extract trucks from embankments, and perform complex recoveries that would otherwise require a mobile crane.
- Every vehicle in the fleet is maintained on a documented schedule, carries GPS tracking for real-time location monitoring, and is fully insured with public liability and goods-in-transit coverage.
Accreditations
